O mnie

A graduate of the Medical Academy in Poznań, a second degree specialist in pediatric surgery, habilitated doctor of medical sciences. He gained experience in the Department of Pediatric Surgery of the Specialist Mother and Child Healthcare Group in Poznań. He completed a pediatric urology course with Prof. J. Cohen and J. Duckett in Manchester, Pediatric Laparoscopy and Endosurgery Course in Leeds and Neonatal Surgery Course in Alder Hey, Liverpool. Participant of foreign internships in Germany and Great Britain. In 2002, he obtained the European Certificate of Specialization in Pediatric Surgery.

Since 1989, he has been working at the Pediatric Surgery Clinic of the Jagiellonian University Medical College and the Pediatric Surgery Department of the University Children's Hospital in Krakow. Since 2012, he has been the Head of the Department of Pediatric Emergency Medicine at the Jagiellonian University Medical College. Since 2016, he has been the Head of the Hospital Emergency Department at the University Children's Hospital in Krakow. Member of the Polish Society of Children's Surgeons. In 2012 2016, he was the president of the Małopolska-Świętokrzysko-Podkarpacki Branch of PTChD. In 1999 he was elected to the board of the European Society for Complications in Pediatric Surgery EDBEC as a representative for Central and Eastern Europe. Member of the British Society of Pediatric Surgeons BAPS, German Society of Pediatric Surgeons DGKCh, Asian Society of Pediatric Surgeons - AAPS, World Society of Pediatric Endosurgery IPEG International Pediatric Endosurgery Group Fellow of Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh - FRCSEd.

In the years 2000-2016, he managed or was a co-contractor of several Scientific Research Projects of the BBN. Author of numerous scientific works. Privately, he is interested in skiing, tennis and gardening.
